About the Author
Gloria Konig Fiero was born and raised in New York City. She earned her Masters degree in Art History at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Humanities at the Florida State University. She has taught Humanities, World History, and Art History for more than twenty-five years. She has written and lectured extensively on medieval and renaissance topics and on the arts of both East and West as they reflect the human condition. She currently divides her time between New Orleans, Louisiana, and New York City.

I used this text for my college Humanities class...beautifully laid out, gorgeous illustrations, overall a great text book...definite recommend! Excellent!

Good book.

This one book lasted two semesters, This is a great reference to use with a Western Civilization class, this text tells what is going on socially and artistically while the Western Civ courses tell what is going on politically and militarily. Really good idea to take the 2 classes back to back.

This book is very informing and has great illustrations and pictures of the subjects and topics. The chapters are broken down into sensible categories and they are easy to follow.
